A very rare and unusual chair, a cross between a lambing chair and a porters chair.
Inscribed at the top “To rest is our reward, to work our privilege”.
With small hand carved flowers to one side and a central brass and leather plaque inscribed “Jessie”.
There is a small round hole in the right arm rest where a candle would have been placed when reading.
