19thc Church Lantern

A huge English c1850 lantern.
Just under 4ft total height to the finial.
Originally this would have been outside the church gates and lit by gas or candle.
It has been rewired for domestic use and can be used inside or out.
The lantern comprises of two milk glass sides and two clear sides.
One of the milk glass panels has the above handpainted quote etched into the glass.
The lantern can be hung from the ceiling or mounted on a post.
